Though I have lived in New Jersey my whole life, my childhood was spent with my nose stuck in a book and a wild imagination that transformed my backyard into faraway places. Then I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology for my B.F.A. in Illustration with a minor in English so I could bring my stories to life. Now I put those worlds on paper using digital media to create books for other children to stick their noses into.
I find my inspiration in memories of my childhood, the outdoors, anything colorful, and traveling, especially visiting my many cute nephews and nieces. When not creating stories and art for children, I like to paint flowers and patterns and have taken several classes at the Fashion Institute in Textile and Surface Design.
I have been a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) since 2012, and I am also a member of the 12x12 challenge, a challenge to write 12 picture books in 12 months. I won Honorable Mention in the Unpublished Category at the NJ SCBWI 2018 and 2019 Conference Art Shows.
